Wild flowers and flowers from gardens gathered together by means of photographically are flooded with luminous intensity and saturated colours creating confusion and astonishment, related to the essentially ‘supernatural’ revelation.
Photography and the digital modifications it permits interpret the natural components into a pictorial visual language that distances us through its artifices from an overly objective transcription of reality. A sense of something heavenly, bedazzlement emerges. It highlights the dreamlike and magical dimension of the flowers captured in their usual environment – fields, sky, sunset, garden – and steers them towards a poetic and lyrical iconography, the a priori simple elements of which are lent a certain incandescence.
