La Triennale closed its doors after welcoming 217 000 visitors. On this occasion , the fifth issue of the Journal de La Triennale , led by Okwui Enwezor , curator of the exhibition , brings a new perspective of the event. "It seems clear that a recurring iconic position in the contemporary artistic discourse today is the gap between content and form, or in other words between form and concept , between art as object and art as network signs. "
The aim of this edition of the Journal de La Triennale is to explore the notion of art as a system of signs that includes individual specificities and groups of collective reception. To dive into the world of art consisting of artists, objects , institutions, exhibitions, markets, audiences and critical interpretation of structures , is to enter a forest of signs.
